The MDI Door Range has been specifically engineered as a functional decorative element providing strength, speed and durability.
Specifications
MDI sectional doors come complete with all necessary operating gear and hardware. The door consists of panels hinged together to negotiate the curve of the track and a fixed matching head panel if required. The number of panels are as recommended by the manufacturer based on the door height (maximum panel height 545mm). Each panel is fitted with wheels running inside the side tracks. The side tracks guide the door movement so that the door can be raised clear of the opening to a horizontal position. The horizontals of the door panels are] manufactured from 44 x 44mm hollow box section extruded aluminium (horizontal rails interlock on Fire Station, Louvre, Classic B& C and Geometric Doors) with U section end rails 50 x 50 x 3mm complete with muntins and braces required for frame rigidity. from 2mm thick steel.

Tracks, hardware and hinges are made from galvanised or zincannealed steel. Hinges and hinge hangers are fabricated from 2mm thick steel. Tracks are fabricated from 1.6mm steel, and curved where necessary to the required radius and mounted on mild steel brackets fixed to the building structure by an approved means. Horizontal tracks shall be reinforced with mild steel angles. Rollers are 10 ball bearing machined steel or nylon coated type as recommended by the manufacture for the door size. Infill Panel variations are secured in the 16mm deep channel extruded in the horizontal rails and pop riveted or welded as required.

Sectional Garage Door Motor Torsion Drive
APPLICATION
Designed for all types of Sectional Overhead doors, the torsion drive system suits high doors for car parksand emergency buildings.
CONSTRUCTION
The parts of the torsion drive mechanism – the motor, gearbox, slipping clutch and limit switches, form a small unit specially designed for driving Sectional Overhead doors. The hollow shaft gearbox requires a solid torsion bar for secure attachments, and keeps side room requirements to a minimum.
RELIABILITY
The built in slipping clutch is an effective safety mechanism, that restricts the force pressure when ever the door meets an obstacle. The torque transmitted by the slipping clutch can be adjusted from zero to it’s full value. All components are of the best quality materials and workmanship as specified by the NSW Fire Brigade.
INSTALLATION
The mechanism is supported by the solid torsion bar, and is secured to the door to prevent rotation during operation. Side room requirements: 300mm
EMERGENCY OPERATION
A disconnect lever allows for easy unlocking and re-connection of the door. Two ropes can be provided so this operation can be done from ground level.

Overhead door operator for high use car parks
Intensive use, Robust design –Â Models 525 and 505
Designed and manufactured in Australia by Liftmaster, the 505 ( 3 phase ) and 525 ( single phase ) sectional overhead door operators are robustly manufactured for sectional doors where intensive use conditions apply, such as; high rise office buildings and strata plans with doors to a maximum height of 3.8 meters. The drive carriage is of hard wearing self lubricating nylon to ensure smooth quiet movement along the self supporting rails. A heavy duty adjustable and continuous chain controls the movement of the carriage and is driven directly off the gearbox. An idler sprocket is used to support the chain. The front idler roller is fitted with a sealed bearing to prevent wear, with the intermediate roller made of hard wearing nylon. A limit switch is fitted to each end of the angle rails with a special bracket to ensure accurate positioning of the door in the open and closed position.
